This year what if obstacles aren’t roadblocks—they’re invitations to break through. ![]()
There’s an old story about a king who placed a massive rock in the middle of the road to test his people.
The wealthy and powerful walked around it, complaining that someone else should move it.
He strained.
He struggled.
He pushed the rock aside.
And underneath it, he discovered a purse of gold—the king’s reward for the one willing to take action instead of complain.
The lesson?
Obstacles aren’t there to stop us.
They’re there to reveal who we are becoming.
At The Growth Dojo, when our students break through boards, they’re not just showing strength—they’re practicing a mindset:
I don’t go around obstacles. I go THROUGH them.
This idea has been echoed for thousands of years. Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius said it best:
“The impediment to action advances action.”
Or as it’s powerfully captured in The Obstacle Is the Way:
Adversity isn’t the enemy—it’s the path.
Every challenge hides an opportunity.
While some complain, others grow stronger.
While some quit, Growth Warriors break through.
What obstacle are you ready to smash today?
